Places

I love the city. At least this is what I believed to be true before the pandemic. My tagline on social media says עירונית [ ee-ronit ] Hebrew for, well, someone who loves the city. A city person.

The pandemic threw a wrench into many things, one of them being my relationship with the city. Due to Covid, it appeared as if the city had lost its meaning. The culture, the bustling streets, the cafes and the brunch spots were all gone. Eventually, I pivoted to the quintessentially American thing, which is hitting the road. Let me tell you there’s few more satisfying things to do in the United States than heading West. And if anything can be said about this country is that it indeed is America the Beautiful.

I have been places. And many touched me, in all sorts of ways. Some had the vibe, some had the style and some left me in awe. I am going to be sharing some of those impressions right here while I will be reconnecting with Chicago.

 September 2021.
