The Earth’s Confession

I am the Earth, the Earth of the bygone past,

I was cursed as I formed the man from the dust.

I roiled and suffered to give him life,

and the man drifted, fell apart.

I am the Earth, the Holy ground,

I am punished for the free will of Adam and his wife.

I am ageless, yet soaked in blood,

I warned the man but he stumbled each and every time.
